Living wages, collective bargaining and responsible purchasing practices
Views of apparel stakeholders in Vietnam
This report is a joint product between the Institute of LabourScience and Social Affairs (ILSSA)and IDH as part of IDH’s global living wage work. The report outlines the perspective of key stakeholders in the Vietnamese textile, garment, and footwear sector on the issue of living wages, as well as the role of collective bargaining and purchasing practices in achieving such wages. The report describes the conditions that are favorable to living wages in Vietnam, the current challenges faced, and potential areas of intervention in the sector.
