Before investment can take place, projects must meet the stringent impact and financial criteria of sustainable development funds and financial services providers. We make sure the most innovative ideas become investment-ready realities.

Since 2019, we have taken an active role in managing and growing investable projects and connecting them to impact funds.

We currently manage Technical Assistance Facilities (TAFs) for several blended finance funds to support project developers, with a focus on forest protection, responsible land use, sustainable and socially inclusive agriculture, and smallholder financing. In addition, we have begun establishing Investment Development Hubs, with the first one launched in the first half of 2024.

From designing and articulating investable proposals to implementing successful projects and sharing lessons learned, we provide advice, assistance or training to improve technical quality and ensure projects deliver maximum impact.

Technical Assistance Facilities

Creating an enabling environment for innovation

Our TAFs (Technical Assistance Facilities) support project developers throughout pre-investment, post-investment, and impact tracking stages—enabling smoother investment transactions, reducing risks, and amplifying development impact. Through our three TAFs, each linked to a different investment fund, we back projects that reduce carbon emissions and deforestation while fostering greater inclusion of local communities and smallholders.

Investment Development Hubs

Unlocking investment potential for agri SMEs

Many agri-SMEs face challenges accessing financing, limiting their potential for economic and environmental impact. Through our Investment Development Hubs, local teams guide agri-SMEs on an investment-readiness journey, helping them meet the requirements of financing partners and connect with impact funds or local financial institutions. We support agri-SMEs close the financing gap for projects ranging from climate adaptation and food system transformation to sustainable land use and forest management.
