Sustainable Vanilla Initiative releases new safeguarding videos to address child labour in Madagascar

IDH’s Sustainable Vanilla Initiative (SVI) has expanded its awareness raising toolkit by launching some new safeguarding videos as part of our ongoing commitment to address child labour in the vanilla value chain in Madagascar.

  1. Educational Videos
The videos - which are available in English, French and Malagasy - were developed in collaboration with Save the Children International and are targeted at farmers, exporters and collectors. Click here to watch them.

  1. Revisions to the Code of Conduct
In addition to the videos, we have updated the Exporters Code of Conduct Implementation Guide. It includes:
  1. A contact list of Local Committees addressing Child Labour (CLLTEs); and
  2. A reporting template.
We also have posters and signs. We encourage you to use these tools and share them with other organisations involved in addressing child labour.

Exporters in Madagascar can collect materials at CRLTE in Sambava.
