Are you interested in ensuring Cameroon’s cocoa sector is well-prepared for the implementation of the EUDR?

IDH is excited to announce a new opportunity for collaboration in Cameroon, with the recruitment of four consultants to complement the country's efforts to promote deforestation-free cocoa and foster opportunities for smallholder farmers.

The consultants will coordinate and implement the activities of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) project developed by IDH through a pilot in the Grand Mbam region, focusing on 3 objectives:

  • Increase cross-learnings and possible synergies between cocoa-producing countries (Cameroon, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire)
  • Increase farmers’ inclusion in EU supply chains (“no farmer left behind”) in Mbangassina, Ntui and Ngoro and,
  • Accelerate design and adoption of technical solutions, with a focus on farm-level data collection and ownership, as well as awareness and compliance of smaller traders with EUDR.
